Power Saver
This economical Power Saver
button allows you to reduce the power consumption of the C8540ND by 80%
from the amount at Ready status. When you want to save even more energy,
you can reduce the time it takes for the C8540ND to enter power save
mode. The MultiXpress C8540ND already uses 20% less energy than an
average 11X17 digital MFP, making it much more eco-friendly and cost
effective.
Modular System
The modular design of the
C8540ND makes consumable and accessory replacement easy. For example,
finisher accessories can be added by simply plugging them in to the side
of the C8540ND.
Paper Handling
Adding optional paper trays can
allow storage of up to 2,720 sheets of paper at one time; this means a
reduction in the frequency of empty trays and paper replenishment
downtime. The 2-bin finisher and 4-bin mailbox both support 1000 sheets
of output, allowing you to mange those large production print jobs
prevalent in today’s challenging enterprise office environment.

Reduce Paper Jams or Misfeeds
The Samsung MultiXpress C8540ND
uses a center loading method with a retard roller. In the rare case when
more than one sheet of paper is picked up, the retard roller rotates in
the opposite direction to reject the additional sheet. This mechanism
minimizes not only the misfeeds, but also the paper jam ratio.
